Post by Name : furiousblue ,  call_shamim@yahoo.com Posted on :10/3/2006 12:19:18 AM   The site has been developed by the ECD Network Working Group on behalf of Bangladesh Shishu Academy in collaboration with Save the Children USA and UNICEF Bangladesh. It is maintained by the Secretariat of the ECD Network. The Network has been formed to initially advocate and strengthen programme activities promoting the rights of children to optimal cognitive, linguistic, emotional and social development. In the future, physical growth and health related developmental domains of ECD may be added to expand the network’s focus to include a more holistic approach to whole child development. The main resource of this site is the Directory of ECD Partners in Bangladesh which contains detailed information about ECD programs being implemented throughout the country. The site also contains guidelines on how to practice age appropriate care and create child friendly environments, and it is designed to function as a tool for improving coordination and dialogue among existing and new ECD partners. If you want to join the ECD Network you can fill in the ECD Questionnaire and submit it to us electronically or to our mailing address. We will then process your application and get back to you as soon as possible. We hope you will find the site useful and that you will take the time to share any comments and suggestions for improvements of the site you may have.
